Cobourg Rotary holds 25th Sportsmen's Dinner & Auction
The Rotary Club of Cobourg held it's 25th annual Sportsmen's Dinner & Auction on February 5th at the Lion's Centre in Cobourg. The theme for 2010 took the dinner (beaver tail soup? - once again, declined!) back to it's roots with the fabulous displays from Pine Ridge Taxidermy. Guests tried on the 2010 Olympics' red gloves, cheering proudly! The auction gifts were extraordinary, and WINNER in 'The Case of the Black Brief', Lynda Best, was still elated over a marriage proposal that very day! Congrats, Lynda.
Over the previous 24 years, the Sportsmen's dinner has raised in excess of $1,170,000 for charities. Rotary pledges to be there for the community and SNAP was delighted to be there for it!
