Holiday Ornament Making at Cozy Quilts

Cozy Quilts opened it's doors on October 1st at 74 Queen St (in the Lakeland Place plaza) in Port Hope. Owner, Shahena Fredricks moved to Port Hope this May and has been so pleased at the warm welcome. Her past life was spent working in HR for large financial institutions, but her dream was always to own a quilt shop. So, she turned her 15 year hobby into a business! If you haven't been to the shop yet, you really must go. She offers an amazing selection of quilting fabrics and holds quilting classes on the second Saturday of each month. SNAP popped in on one of her holiday ornament making classes and it was a big hit!

Cozy Quilts is also looking for opportunities to give back to its new community, whether it be collecting canned goods for the local food bank or making lap quilts for the seniors home. If you have any suggestions for them or can recommend local charities they should contact, please phone Shahena at 905.885.5777.
